Shuler Kitchen

We were brought into this kitchen remodel that was already in process. The client hired Design Works to pull it all together. First was the selection of new cabinets. The first thing you see when you enter the house is the dining room so we wanted to make a cabinet that looked like a piece of furniture with glass doors and raised legs.

Giving the island a black rub through finish with corbels helped set it apart from all the wood tones and making it a nice focal point. The customer loved this. A granite stone slab was selected for the countertops to enhance the rich tones of the woods, but not too dark.

To pull the whole look together we used a tumble stone in 4x4's and 6x6's and added the "bling" using black marble listello chair rail and black diamond insets, black sink and a picture frame scrolling above the cook top to accent the cooking area. This was a fun project and the client was very pleased with the final look.
